Life expectancy is an average, and mortality is drawn during the life. Good attributes cannot reserve a fixed number of years.
Read life expectancy correctly
The original describes mortality using country life tables by sex, with causes following age and regional patterns. The outlined year on the life map marks a country expectation; it is not an appointment with death. Some characters die much earlier and others survive well beyond it.
Our Bangladesh run displayed male life expectancy of 72.9 years. At 18, the survival chart said about 96% of boys born in the same cohort were still alive. These describe a group. Neither gives this individual a guaranteed remaining lifetime.
Separate a bad outcome from a bad decision
A high health score can help within the model without eliminating accidents or illness. In our run, a serious bus crash occurred at 26, even though we had declined motorcycles. The choice avoided one stated risk; it did not remove every transport risk.
Player reports of dying in infancy or unexpectedly in middle age fit the broad idea of uncertain lifetimes. A single report cannot establish an exact mortality rate or prove a mechanic is broken.
Use the controls you have
Read health-related choices, revisit Health care focus when needed and inspect the costs of checkups and insurance. These serve different purposes: health support is not the same as financial protection from bills.
Pause when the story moves too quickly or a loss is difficult to read. The original documents content settings and classroom mode. A finished life can be meaningful without a high age or wealth total; the game is not assigning a score to the worth of a person.
